Henry Lately

Here's Henry with his new shiner. He fell at the park and busted his eye - evidently right on the part that bruises real bad. He doesn't seem to mind, though. Daddy says it only goes to display how really tough he is. Here's what else he's been up to lately:
- He is a true almost 2 year old. He is in the "into everything" age. Cabinets, drawers, the trash can, and the Christmas tree. He's a meddler for sure. =)
- He is learning how to communicate with words. The words we hear the most: please, no, yes, cracker, mama, daddy, night night, baby, brother, and ball.
- His favorite foods are eggs, broccoli, oranges, and crackers.
- When I am cooking something or he sees dinner on the table, he immediately gives a hearty, "MMMMM". I love that he gets excited about food on the table. =)
- He is very affectionate. He loves to give hugs and snuggle before bed. He has learned how to give Baby Ben very gentle hugs and kisses. It's very cute to watch.
- He is playful. He is always trying to get a laugh or a smile out of someone.
- He is tough. I pity the fool that meets Henry on the football field in the future. He is going to be one tough guy....of course, with a soft inside. Such a great combination for a man, I think.
- He is determined. He loves to do his best to keep up with Alex at the park. He can climb, jump, and swing in the big boy swing right alongside his big brother.
- He loves dogs. Our neighbors have dogs and Henry is the one who always runs to the dogs to say hello and pet them.
- He is a night owl/late riser. He prefers to sleep late and is cranky if someone disturbs his sleep. It is quite the compromise for he and Alex to share a room. Alex is an early riser and he has figured out that it is best to sneak out of his room without waking Henry in the morning.

He loves oatmeal for breakfast.

He was supposed to be playing by himself and I walked in a caught him red-handed in this little "unload the entire dresser drawer" project. Toot!
